Students in grades K-8 participate in the Junior Great Books program which emphasizes critical, reflective thinking through shared inquiry discussion of works of literature with ideas of enduring value. Rooted in the Socratic method, the program focuses on high-quality texts and a collaborative approach that helps students deepen their reading, thinking, and communication skills. In these sessions, students read literature selections and participate in student-centered discussions and activities that support reasoning, speaking, listening, and respectful civil discourse.
